I spent my childhood in New York City visiting flea markets and antique fairs with my mother, playing “I spy with my little eye” until we landed on unique finds (hence the business name). While my post-college career brought me in different directions, my love of all things interior design never wavered, and after almost a decade on the front lines of political campaigns and social justice organizations, I took the plunge to leave my career behind and finally turn my lifetime passion into a profession–with the hope of using my past experiences to inspire more equity in the field. As iSPY’s Owner & Lead Designer, I dedicate my time to cultivating new business and supporting my team with developing unique and personalized design plans for our wide variety of clients. I live in Oakland with my husband Drew and toddler Cash. In my spare time, I enjoy road trips, live music, political activism, and exploring local eateries and hiking trails.
LUZBELLA, senior designer (she/her)
As a Bay Area native, my fascination with design has always been influenced by the different cultures and history that my home state holds. I received my BS in Interior Design from San Francisco State University in 2020, and worked as a Design Consultant at Restoration Hardware before joining EG Custom Construction as a Showroom Assistant and Junior Designer. I joined iSPY Home Design in Spring 2021 to continue to build on my training as a designer and expand my portfolio of transformations. As a Senior Designer, I support with client consultations, home measures, floor plans and renderings, and furniture sourcing. I’m a self-described creative enthusiast who is eager to help others’ aesthetic vision come to life. In my free time, I explore a range of hobbies–embroidery, developing film, and ceramics, just to list a few.

Like Catherine, I hail from the East Coast, though I left my hometown many years ago to travel and live in cities across the United States and Europe. I split time between the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Whenever I find myself on the road, I make a point to set up a tableau of grounding objects in any space to make it feel like home. I joined iSPY Home Design in Summer 2022 in order to hone my craft as a residential interior designer and connect with the wider California design community. As a Senior Designer, I work with our growing portfolio of clientele from design concept to completion, creating mood boards and finding pieces that speak to their unique styles and sensibilities, with a focus on sourcing from local resellers and artisans. I am myself an occasional vintage reseller and currently taking courses towards completing my Interior Design Certification at UCLA. I love VHS movies, my Pomeranian Chihuahua, and doing deep dives into interior design history.
